1 November 2014, SINGAPORE – Acutus is pleased to announce that Jack Lam attended the 2nd Annual Conference of Abacus Worldwide held in Miami Beach, FL, USA at the Shore Club Hotel from November 1 – 3, 2014. The conference attracted law and accounting firm partner-level delegates from ten different countries across four regions: Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America. The educational program offered delegates a wealth of information on emerging financial and legal opportunities and issues, and provided a forum to share best practices in practice management for professional service firms.
Through attendance at Abacus Worldwide conferences, Acutus fortifies its global business connections and enhances its ability to provide assistance, referrals and increased knowledge to clients with international business needs. In addition, clients of the firm will benefit directly from the relationships and resources that were exchanged between member firms of Abacus Worldwide at the Annual Conference.
“Abacus conferences create a forum for business exchange, meaningful partner-level interaction and innovative idea sharing. Delegates participate in educational sessions led by industry thought leaders, keeping members ahead of the curve on local and international business trends. We are truly pleased that Acutus participated in the 2nd Annual World Conference representing Singapore amongst 40 attendees from ten countries”. Says Julio Gabay, President and CEO of Abacus.
“Acutus has taken another step forward in breaking new frontiers. As accounting firms had historically been constrained by national borders, this move to join Abacus has indeed created some energy within Acutus to take a more global view of our business. In association with the friendship that have been forged with fellow members during this conference, we are optimistic that it will no doubt enhance the value of our services when we encounter clients with international business needs.”
